Terms and Conditions
These terms and conditions are applicable for private customers only. Retailers or corporations must contact us for our business to business terms and conditions.

Your Rights
Grand House Ltd. is a UK based company and complies with UK consumer law including the Distance Selling Regulations. This means that shopping with Grand House Ltd is safe. We strive to give excellent after sales service and customer care and will sort out any problems you have. Our Terms and Conditions do not affect your statutory rights.

Pricing
Prices include VAT (Value Added Tax) at the standard UK rate of 17.5%. VAT does not apply to orders that are to be shipped outside the E.U. or to Tax Free areas such as the Channel Islands. These areas will be priced and billed with VAT deducted.

While we do our best to ensure prices are up to date and correct, errors may occur and in this case you will be contacted before your order is shipped. Please also contact us if you think there is a problem.

Payment
Grand House Ltd. Uses a online Paypal payment system and therefore accept most major credit cards for online orders. By using the Paypal system your card details will be safe. You will be asked to enter your card details and the name and the address of the card holder when you place the order. These details will be checked and we may hold an order until we receive the correct details. You will be contacted if we find the card or address details to be incorrect.

Your payment will go through immediately once your order is placed, through or secure Paypal online payment facility.

Product Availability
Grand House Ltd. updates the availability of the stock list continuously. Items that are 'Out Of Stock' will be displayed as such. In the rare event of a problem with availability of a product marked 'In Stock', we will contact you. You may then wish to cancel the order or wait until the item becomes available.

Out of Stock Orders
There are times when items become temporarily 'Out Of Stock', and these items are marked as such in the site. If you order an 'Out Of Stock' product, we will send out the order to you as soon as the product becomes available again. If we cannot source the item we will contact you to inform you and refund you.

Accuracy of information
We put a lot of time and effort into updating website information, product descriptions, prices, photo’s and other information. Though we try to ensure all information and images are correct, mistakes do occur so let us know if you see or read something that is not correct. If you have purchased any products from us based on incorrect information we will replace or refund the product so long as it is unused. While every effort is made to ensure that accurate pricing and descriptions are maintained, we reserve the right to decline orders if they are based on inaccurate information by either party.

Postage and Delivery
When you order a Grand 1888 bicycle we will deliver this bicycle to our London based UK Grand 1888 service point, your favourite local bicycle shop, your home or work address

The Service Point can do the final assembly, and do an extra check of all bolts and nuts. If the Grand 1888 Service Point is not conveniently located, than you can give us the address of your favourite local bicycle shop, your home or your work. All bicycles will be delivered on workdays between 9am and 5pm. You will be notified by mail of the delivery date.

All bicycles are boxed in proper bicycle boxes and will be delivered 90% assembled. The final assembly includes: adding the pedals and adjusting handlebars and saddle height. You will receive an assembly manual with your delivery. If you have lost your manual, please click here to view the assembly manual.

Your order will be processed after your payment has been received. Your bicycle will be handmade on order and delivered within 4-6 weeks.

Shipping cost depend on your delivery address, but will be given before you place your order.

Returns Terms and Conditions
Grand House Ltd. conform to the Distance Selling Regulations, which are designed to protect you when buying items by Mail Order. We offer a flexible returns policy and are happy to refund / exchange items that are damaged in transit, faulty or not what you have ordered. However products ordered in the wrong size may be subject to a collection and re-delivery charge depending on the item. Please check sizes by referring to our size advise before ordering.

Grand 1888 Bicycles
All Grand 1888 bicycle are made by hand upon order. This means that they are built especially for you, and to your exact optional specification and size. This means that we are not obliged to accept back the Grand 1888 bicycles for a refund or exchange.

Returning goods
Returns can be made within 7 days from date of delivery. The goods can not be used and have to be returned in its original packaging. We offer this service free of charge. Please follow return procedure as stated below:
1. Always contact us before returning goods. Bicycles must always be returned by our courier, if you want the service free of charge
2. Return the goods in its original packaging. Please ensure that the package is fully closed and secured with tape to enable the courier to handle it.
3. All items must be clean and complete, all parts to be returned even if broken.
4. Goods must be accompanied with a completed Returns form. To obtain this form please email: customercare@grand1888.com

Waranty & Faults
A bicycle consists of many different components and are therefore warrantied under different terms. Therefore any fault with a particular component on your bicycle will be dealt with individually. It is required that you give us the chance to fix the fault before any refund or product exchange can take place. We will do our best to ensure that the issue is fairly resolved.

Warranty period
Grand House Ltd. provides you with a 10 year guarantee on frame and fork, a 1 year guarantee on all other parts except tyres and pedals. The guarantee period starts at date of purchase and is for the original owner only.

Waranty cover
This warranty is expressly limited to the repair or replacement of defective frame or defective parts, and is the sole remedy of the warranty. This warranty applies only to original owners and is not transferable. Claims under this warranty must be made directly to Grand House Ltd. Proof of purchase directly from Grand House Ltd. is required Defective parts on Grand 1888 bicycles purchased from a bicycle retailer must be addressed with the bicycle retailer directly. The warranty does not cover; normal wear and tear, improper assembly or follow up maintenance, or installation of parts or accessories nor originally intended or compatible with the bicycle as sold. The warranty does not apply to damage or failure due to accident, misuse, abuse or neglect. Modification of the frame or components shall void this warranty. Grand House Ltd. shall not be responsible for incidental or consequential damages. Labour charges associated with parts changeovers are not covered by the warranty.

The warranty applies only to those who have had final assembly and check up done by a certified bicycle shop, before usage. This guarantee will only be applicable if you return the following by post, within 30 days of delivery date:
• your paypal username
• order no
• copy of receipt
• name and contact details certified bicycle shop
• your guarantee certificate part 2


This warranty gives the consumer specific legal rights, and those rights may vary from place to place. This warranty does not affect the statutory rights of the consumer.

Product faults
If a fault develops you must stop using the product immediately and contact us. Grand House Ltd. will determine if it’s a warranty issue. Warranty only covers faults that develop during normal usage of the bicycle. In some cases we will determine warranty issues with a authorised dealer. Minor faults covered by our warranty can be verified and repaired by a local bicycle shop near you. Always contact us before consulting your locl bicycle shop as we will determine warranty type and suitable solution.

Privacy Policy
Grand House Ltd. is committed to protecting your privacy. When you make an online order, we need to know your name, e-mail address, credit card billing address, delivery address, credit or debit card number and associated details. This allows us to process and fulfil your orders and to notify you about your order status. We will also require a land line telephone number in case we need to contact you and for international orders this number may be given to our couriers in order to help with the delivery of your goods. You have trusted us by giving us these details and Grand House Ltd. promises not to use these details for any other reason other than processing your order or informing you about the products and services of Grand 1888. We will not pass any of your details on to third parties for profit or otherwise.

Notwithstanding any other provision set forth in these Terms & Conditions, Grand House Ltd. shall not be liable for any failure or delay in its performance due to any cause beyond our reasonable control, including, without limitation, ant act of war or civil insurrection, national emergencies, acts of God, fire, explosion, vandalism, storm, earthquake, flood, embargo, riot, sabotage, industry-wide supplier failures, unavailability of materials, rights of way of governmental acts, provided however that Grand House Ltd. shall use its commercially reasonable efforts to correct such failure or delay in performance to the extent consistent with then applicable law and appropriate regulatory requirements in light of then existing circumstances.
